INTERGENERATIONAL: Christmas Presence is an easy-to-prepare Sunday School Christmas celebration featuring all small groups from Nursery through Adults.
EASY: Make copies for participants from the Master Copy 3-Ring Notebook. Complete Director's guide included. Divide preparation between children, youth and adult classes with teachers in charge of their small group. Practice separately during Sunday School to prepare for a dress rehearsal and grand performance.
VISUAL: Build a Tower of Christmas Presents one at a time while telling the wonderful Bethlehem story and offering their present to Baby Jesus. Christmas Presence challenges the audience to be aware of the Presence of Christ at Christmas and throughout the year.
CASUAL AND FUN: This casual event works well in all size churches. Adapt wherever necessary. Do not memorize (unless you want to). Plan a WRAP IT UP PARTY afterward for everyone to attend. Complete party plans included.
WORSHIPFUL: Voices of mother, dad and child introduce and conclude this charming, worshipful presentation. They are afraid of the dark until one large pillar candle is carried in representing The Light of the World. When the Light is carried away at the end of the program, our child worries that the world will lose Jesus. Reassured that Jesus is here to stay, the child follows to tell the world the wonderful news of Jesus!
MUSICAL: The audience sings traditional Christmas Carols throughout the program. Offer Special Music performed by local talent.
